El análisis de la coyuntura industrial en la coyuntura industrial en la comunidad autonóma del País Vasco mediante el uso de modelos univarientes

Abstract

En este trabajo se analiza la actividad industrial, a nivel agregado, en la Comunidad Autónoma del País Vasco en los últimos cuatro años. La variable sobre la que se centra el análisis es el Indice de Producción Industrial del País Vasco (IPIPV) y la metodología seguida es la expuesta en España (1990). Con base a un modelo Arima con Análisis de Intervención para la variable mencionada, se estima, entre otros, el efecto que sobre la actividad industrial en el País Vasco tienen hechos tales como las vacaciones de Semana Santa, la distinta longitud y composición de los meses en términos de dias laborables y las fiestas intrasemanales. Se estima la tendencia del IPIPV y se propone una medida de crecimiento anual, basada en dicha tendencia, de la producción industrial en el País Vasco, que se emplea para realizar un diagnóstico de la situación coyuntural de dicha producción en diciembre de 1990.
