Abstract

Le processus d’urbanisation rend difficile le maintien de zones pourtant essentielles à l’équilibre des écosystèmes urbains et l’espace est devenu une ressource rare dans les grandes villes. Les espaces verts et les parcs urbains étant primordiaux pour atteindre les objectifs fixés par la Commission Européenne en termes de climat et d’environnement, celle-ci a promu leur préservation en les intégrant aux politiques nationales et régionales au sein de l’Union Européenne (Commission Européenne, 2013). Certains gouvernements nationaux ont mis place des stratégies similaires : l’Allemagne a par exemple encouragé la sauvegarde des parcs urbains en les incluant dans son programme national de protection de la biodiversité (Ministère Fédéral de l’Environnement, de la Protection de la Nature et de la Sécurité Nucléaire, 2007).
