Abstract

****** We analyze the interaction between school spaces and the risk behaviors of consumption and aggression in secondary school students using data from a representative sample of secondary education students from Bogotá. The results suggest that the patterns of substance consumption and of physical and verbal aggression are different, between behaviors and between schools. Using school-level risk measures we found a relatively high dispersion between the risks of use and assault. We found that the classroom is a safe space for most of the students and that, at school, where they feel most unsafe is in the bathroom, the stairs and in the main entrance of the school.
