Abstract

Marcela Meléndez es Ph.D. en Economía de Yale University, MBA de Yale School of Management y Economista de la Universidad de los Andes. Su área de especialidad es la microeconomía aplicada. Meléndez es socia fundadora de ECONESTUDIO y es quien lidera los proyectos de investigación y consultoría de la entidad. Fue Subdirectora e Investigadora Asociada a Fedesarrollo y profesora de la Facultad de Economía de la Universidad de los Andes. Ha sido consultora del BID, del Banco Mundial, de las Naciones Unidas, y de USAID, entre otros. Su actividad en investigación y consultoría es ampliamente conocida y su opinión es con frecuencia consultada por las autoridades a cargo del diseno de políticas públicas en Colombia.
