Abstract

La economía de los recursos naturales es un área cuyo interés y aplicación vienen creciendo en el mundo, especialmente en los países en vías de desarrollo, ricos en estos recursos. A pesar de este auge, no es mucha la literatura que se encuentra en idioma espanol al respecto. Este libro presenta los más recientes avances en el área de la economía de los recursos naturales, al incluir aplicaciones para casos reales. Además de revisar los modelos clásicos en la literatura de recursos renovables (pesquerías y bosques) y no renovables, introduce la aplicación de la programación dinámica como método de optimización de sistemas dinámicos al caso de los recursos naturales. Para darles fortaleza a las ventajas de la programación dinámica, se exploran las herramientas de la economía computacional y la solución numérica a problemas complejos relacionados con la asignación eficiente de recursos naturales.
