Abstract

Se analiza el mercado laboral, la victimización y la situación de las pensiones. Esta sección presenta las tendencias recientes del mercado laboral colombiano en las siete principales ciudades del país, con especial atención en los aspectos relacionados con la calidad del empleo. Tal como lo revela la reciente encuesta de opinión Latinobarómetro-2004, el desempleo es, sin duda, una de las principales causas de preocupación de los colombianos, por encima de la pobreza o la corrupción. Aunque la tasa de desempleo ha caído desde 2000 a 2004, el 16,95% de la población económicamente activa carecía de empleo en marzo de 2004 para las siete principales ciudades del país. Esto es, hay 1'328.081 personas sin empleo en los principales centros urbanos del país.
