Abstract

La Bodega de Datos Espaciales es el componente analítico del Sistema de Información Geoestadística que facilita el análisis de la información estadística georreferenciada por medio de indicadores en un contexto multidimensional. El objetivo principal de este artículo es describir los lineamientos conceptuales, el mecanismo de consulta y los beneficios de la Bodega de Datos Espaciales para dar la solución a la representación espacial del dato estadístico por medio de indicadores, los cuales soportan la toma de decisiones en los procesos de producción estadística del Departamento Administrativo Nacional de Estadística. ******** The Spatial Data Warehouse is the analytical component of the Geostatistical Information System that facilitates analysis of georeferenced statistical information through indicators in a multidimensional context. The aim of this paper is to describe the conceptual guidelines, the query mechanism and the benefits of Spatial Data Warehouse to provide the solution in the spatial representation of statistical data through indicators, which supports decision making in statistical production processes of the National Statistics Department.
