Las Industrias Curtiembres Y Su Incidencia En La Contaminación Del Río Bogotá

Abstract

Resumen Gran parte de la contaminación generada por la industria de la curtiduría se debe a la falta de capacitación en el uso de los recursos e insumos utilizados en los procesos productivos; esta situación aplica a la gran mayoría de las curtiembres de Villapinzón y Chocontá. Este documento contiene la investigación realizada sobre el problema am- biental más importante del sector, ya que las empresas curtiembres arrojan grandes cantidades de agua residual con tratamientos insuficientes al rio Bogotá. Para poder evaluar este impacto se usaron datos de diagnósticos ambientales empresariales y diagnósticos ambientales sectoriales, todos ellos suministrados por la CAR (Corpo- ración Autónoma Regional de Cundinamarca) y el DANE.
