Identificar la incidencia de la estratificación socioeconómica urbana sobre la segregación de los hogares bogotanos

Abstract

En este estudio se pone a prueba la hipótesis de que el sistema de estratificación socio-económica colombiano, que asigna a cada vivienda un número de uno a seis para determinar las tarifas de servicios públicos domiciliarios, pueda causar segregación. Una atenta revisión de la literatura muestra que esto puedo ocurrir en la medida en que el estrato pueda estar asociado a fenómenos de discriminación. Un estudio de corte experimental se realizó en Bogotá con más de 1000 participantes mayores de 25 anos y no pertenecientes a la población estudiantil. El diseno combina el juego de confianza y el juego del dictador. Los resultados excluyen la presencia de preferencias puras para la discriminación y la presencia de discriminación estadística, sin embargo se confirma la presencia de estereotipos de ausencia de confiabilidad por parte de la población de estrato bajo.
