Hogares y Cuidado Doméstico no Remunerado en Colombia

Abstract

En el presente artículo se estudian las actividades de cuidado no remunerado realizadas en los hogares Colombianos. Los datos empleados fueron obtenidos de la primera Encuesta Nacional de Uso del Tiempo (ENUT) realizada en Colombia -por el Departamento Administrativo Nacional de Estadísticas (DANE)- durante el segundo trimestre de 2012 y el primer trimestre de 2013. El artículo tiene tres partes: en la primera se aborda teóricamente el concepto de cuidado doméstico realizado en los hogares, en la segunda se analiza la naturaleza de los servicios de cuidado realizadas en los hogares colombianos, se estima su magnitud y se exploran algunos de sus determinantes socioeconómicos. Por último, en la tercera sección se presentan las conclusiones principales.
