Apuntes económicos de pesca en Colombia II

Abstract

Existe una relación de cauce y caudal con el calado de las embarcaciones y el espacio acuático requerido por las especies vivientes en éste para su desarrollo. Una de las funciones que cumplen las especies ictiológicas es de servir como canalizadores de los ríos. El río Magdalena y algunos de sus afluentes ilustran la pérdida paralela y progresiva de la población de peces por la erosión, la contaminación y la falta de dragado. Entonces, navegación y pesca van dejando de ser actividades económicas para ingresar en la vía de la extinción.
