La pesca artesanal en el golfo de Morrosquillo una caracterización general

Abstract

Colombia es un país con una longitud de costa marina de 2.960 Kms. La zona económica exclusiva reclamada tiene una área de 988.000 Kms.No obstante el potencial de recursos hidrobiológicos, la contribución del sector pesquero al PIB nacional se estimó para 1982 en algo menos del 0.4 %.Correlativamente con esto los estudios se han orientado al marco general de la pesca, por ello el criterio seguido en esta elaboración se orienta a describir las condiciones de la pesca artesanal específicamente tratando de adelantar algunas categorizaciones y en segundo lugar, a considerar el tema sobre un espacio regional concreto como es el Golfo de Morrosquillo en el departamento de Sucre.
