¿Privatizar empresas públicas?

Abstract

Después del doloroso fracaso de la ortodoxia económica del Banco Mundial en México, la variante privatizadora en Colombia enfila sus baterías hacia la deliciosa presa de Empresas Públicas de Medellín, patrimonio invaluable. No parece posible que a estas alturas el argumento de la eficacia privada en la prestación de servicios públicos se pueda esgrimir. El ejemplo de mostrar, la privatización parcial de la red generadora inglesa, no se comporta como prometió la ortodoxia neoclásica, es decir con una mejor eficiencia, reflejada en más bajos precios.
