Abstract

Artículo que narra la vida de Joan Violet Robinson, la cual siguió una vieja tradición la inaugurada por los economistas clásicos y continuada (por ruptura) por Marx: buscar una explicación del funcionamiento de un sistema cuya motivación es el lucro y la acumulación de capital. Formada en la economía ortodoxa de Marshall y Pigou, asimilo críticamente dicho pensamiento basada en la critica a las inconsistencias lógicas (atemporalidad y la solución de los desequilibrios parciales como si el tiempo histórico fuera reversible) y en la no coincidencia de la realidad (depresión, desempleo, miseria, cuestiones pasajeras para la ortodoxia).
