Abstract

Se exploran algunos aspectos de una parte de la historia de la matemática actuarial en Colombia relacionadas con la contribución del matemático alemánPeter Thullen a la formación del sistema de seguridad social en Colombia. Trataremos aspectos de su salida al exilio desde Europa al Ecuador y luego a Colombia y su regreso a Europa enfatizando las relaciones con diferentes episodios en la historia del desarrollo de las matem¶aticas modernas en Colombia.
