Regiones para vivir. Índice sintético de calidad de vida departamental

Abstract

Este trabajo presenta el diseno y cálculo del índice sintético de Calidad de Vida (ISCV) para 23 departamentos colombianos en 2016, a partir de la metodología de análisis de componentes principales. Los resultados evidencian la gran heterogeneidad de condiciones de entorno entre estos entes territoriales, y así mismo permiten orientar y priorizar programas y políticas públicas que podrían contribuir de forma más efectiva a mejorar la calidad de vida en cada región. En términos del índice, las primeras posiciones de los departamentos de Cundinamarca, Valle del Cauca y Atlántico están demostrando que sus habitantes pueden disfrutar de mejores condiciones de vida
