Comparativo Del Sector Confección En China Y Colombia: Análisis Del Indicador De Competitividad 2000-2008

Abstract

La confección es considerada como una de las actividades productivas más importantes en el mundo, representa el 30% de la producción mundial. Las diferencias entre la competitividad de diferentes locaciones productivas condiciona la participación en este lucrativo mercado. Objetivo: identificar la relación entre el sector confección chino con el mismo sector en Colombia durante el período 2000 a 2008. Metodología: Comparación a partir de índices de competitividad. Marco de referencia: El sector confección es representativo dentro del sector manufacturero del sistema mundo, ha empezado a experimentar cambios importantes como la mayor presencia y participación de China dentro del mercado internacional debido al ingreso de este país a la Organización Mundial del Comercio. Los resultados muestran que China posee una mayor ventaja competitiva que Colombia en la exportación al mundo de confecciones. Sinembargo, Colombia posee la ventaja en el desarrollo de productos diferenciados.
