Los Ingresos En La Aldea De Jacob: Del Modelo Ingenuo Al Modelo Simple

Abstract

Este documento es resultado de la interacción entre investigación en Economía Laboral y docencia en Econometría. Nace en la labor cotidiana del Grupo de Investigación en Economía Laboral del Departamento de Economía. Usando como estrategia un cuento se presente la esencia de los modelos ingenuo y de regresión simple utilizando como problema de investigación la explicación de la tasa de ingresos laborales. La propuesta parte de distinguir tres niveles de abstracción en la construcción de modelos econométricos para así ubicar supuestos, cómputos y propiedades. El referente empírico lo provee el procesamiento de la Encuesta Nacional de Hogares para el área metropolitana de Cali en Diciembre de 1998 resultado de las investigaciones “Determinantes de la Duración del Desempleo en el Área Metropolitana de Cali 1988-1998” y “La Rentabilidad de la Educación en el Área Metropolitana de Cali 1988-2000” dirigidas por los profesores Castellar y Uribe, adscritas al CIDSE y financiadas por COLCIENCIAS.
