Abstract

El presente documento hace una revisión conceptual y de la literatura más reciente del tema que relaciona la desigualdad y las restricciones sociales. La revisión explora algunas de las características, conexiones y realidades con el tema propuesto que han sido documentadas y referenciadas en la literatura sobre la incidencia que estas variables pueden tener sobre la pobreza y su dinámica. Con fundamento en las tendencias observadas y analizadas, se realiza un ejercicio teórico sobre las diferentes interacciones sociales que se pueden generar a partir de las dotaciones y preferencias de los agentes económicos. El trabajo en esta primera aproximación concluye que las características estructurales de las relaciones sociales, las dotaciones iniciales y la presencia de altos niveles de desigualdad se constituyen en las principales razones de la inequidad social con sus respectivos efectos sobre el crecimiento económico.
