Apuntes de estadística para un curso introductorio de econometría

Abstract

Este documento presenta una breve introducción a los conceptos básicos de estadística que forman la base de un curso introductorio de Econometría de pregrado. Se discuten conceptos como variables, vectores y matrices aleatorias, distribución de probabilidad, valor esperado, independencia estadística, distribución conjunta y marginal, el teorema del límite central, el sesgo de un estimador y aspectos generales de la construcción de intervalos de confianza y evaluación de hipótesis. Este documento está dirigido principalmente a estudiantes de pregrado de economía o primer ano de maestría en finanzas o economía, pero por la sencillez del lenguaje, puede ser de utilidad para cualquier estudiante o profesional interesado en repasar los concetos básicos de álgebra matricial.
