Abstract

Este informe final se encarga de analizar las oportunidades y los retos que enfrenta Colombia frente a las negociaciones del Área de Libre Comercio de las Américas en siete sectores de servicios específicos: audiovisuales, distribución, financieros, investigación y desarrollo, tecnologías de la información, transporte y turismo; tomando como referencia los principales avances logrados en el marco de la OMC1, pues es sabido que el ALCA ha adoptado como punto de referencia el mencionado acuerdo multilateral, y por tanto, es de esperarse que los resultados alcanzados allí sean incorporados al acuerdo hemisférico. ****** This final report emphasizes on the identification of the opportunities and challenges Colombia faces in the context of the FTAA negotiations in seven specific service sectors: audiovisuals, distribution, financial, research and development, information technology, transport and tourism taking as a reference the main advances reached in the WTO discussions, since it is well known that the FTAA agreement is based on a multilateral agreement, and as a consequence, they will be incorporated in the hemispheric conversations.
