Abstract

Abstract: This paper has an interdicsipline approach in which economics and sexology are related. This bridge is built when the number of sexual relations and economical variables, as income and the costs of having sex, are related. In order to make such relation a theoretical model, basically microeconomical, is developed in which the existence of a positive relation between the quantity of sex and the income level and negative with costs are seen. Empirically, and after making a survey, the first idea is confirmed but the second one is questioned. However, all these elements are complemented in order to propose, finally, some solution to the aids problem.
