Determinantes del crecimiento de las empresas no financieras en Colombia: Ley de Gibrat y otras teorías

    El objetivo del trabajo es investigar, de forma exploratoria, los determinantes delcomportamiento de los ingresos operacionales de las empresas en Colombia. Serepasan las distintas teorías que explican el crecimiento y tamaño de las empresas y seestima un modelo de regresión por percentiles que permite validar las principalesteorías sobre el tema. Se concede especial énfasis a la Ley de Gibrat. Esta ley estableceque el crecimiento de una empresa en un período determinado es independiente de sutamaño en el período anterior.
