Agencias de rating: hacia una nueva regulación

Abstract

CONTENTS: La crisis de las hipotecas subprime ha cuestionado la calidad de los ratings y a las agencias que los emiten. Esto ha llevado a diversos organismos internacionales, entre ellos IOSCO, SEC, CESR y la Comisión Europea, a plantear distintas reformas regulatorias que afectan a las agencias de rating. En esta monografía se analizan las causas por las que las agencias no emitieron ratings con la calidad deseable a la vez que se proponen soluciones regulatorias que ayuden a mejorar dicha calidad.
