Indicador integral de dotación de infraestructuras en las entidades federativas de México, 2005-2015

Abstract

En este artículo se analiza y evalúa la dotación de infraestructuras en las entidades federativas de México (estados), a partir de la construcción del Indicador Integral de Dotación de Infraestructuras (IIDI), que se genera de la integración de las categorías de infraestructuras productiva, social, medio Ambiente e información y conocimiento. Con la metodología utilizada se comprueba una correlación positiva y significativa del PIB con los valores del IIDI y las distintas categorías de infraestructuras, lo que explica que las entidades con mayor desarrollo atraen mayores inversiones en infraestructura, o bien, que una mayor dotación propicia mayores y mejores condiciones para el progreso económico. Con relación a las desigualdades económicas regionales, se encuentra que los estados más rezagados deben reducir o eliminar sus diferencias con respecto a las dotaciones efectivas de infraestructura de la entidad media, para reducir sus rezagos con respecto al PIB per cápita.
