Abstract

Alors que sous l’impact des processus de changements technologiques et de globalisation rapides, les économies et les sociétés contemporaines subissent de profondes mutations, la science économique traverse une crise identitaire sans précédent. Fondée sur un modèle excessivement réductionniste et instrumental de la rationalité humaine, la théorie économique traditionnelle semble aujourd’hui menacée d’obsolescence, faute de fournir des moyens analytiques adéquats pour intégrer les changements et la complexité (la transparence?) du monde actuel. Certes, une grande partie des théoriciens de l’économie s’obstine à défendre à tout prix la méthodologie standard, quitte à accepter le repli de la discipline sur elle-même et inéluctablement son enfermement dans une forme d’académisme déconnecté du monde réel. La prolifération récente de variantes théoriques de plus en plus sophistiquées, visant à réorganiser ou à adapter, en tout cas sauver le paradigme dominant, ne serait-elle pas déjà un symptôme du début du déclin de celui-ci ?
