A Comparison of Incarceration Measures Across the ACS, CJARS, and Researcher Provided Data

Abstract

This technical note measures the reliability of incarceration measures in CJARS, researcher provided data sets and the American Community Survey. These statistics provide new benchmarks about the quality and reliability of Census measures of criminal justice contact.
