Evaluation of PIK Coverage in the 2012 Survey of Business Owners

Author

Abstract

This memo evaluates PIK coverage for business owners in the 2012 SBO and provides information that could help expand that coverage. In particular, it quantifies the number and percentage of owners with PIKs overall and by business type, examines PIK assignment by owner demographics, and offers information that could lead to the expansion of PIK coverage for business owners who currently are not assigned PIKs.
