Sparring estratégico: un marco conceptual para mejorar la calidad decisional del CEO en la cumbre estratégica

Abstract

La soledad en la cima organizacional es un fenómeno ampliamente documentado que afecta significativamente la toma de decisiones estratégicas y el bienestar emocional de los CEOs. Este artículo explora la figura del sparring estratégico—un interlocutor externo y confiable— y la forma como puede mitigar la soledad del líder, reducir sesgos cognitivos y mejorar la claridad y efectividad decisional. A través del análisis conceptual, diferenciamos esta figura del coaching ejecutivo tradicional y la consultoría, aportando casos prácticos relevantes, como el de Bill Campbell y Eric Schmidt en Google. Finalmente, ofrecemos recomendaciones prácticas para implementar eficazmente un sparring estratégico en contextos reales, destacando su potencial para mejorar significativamente el desempeño organizacional y el bienestar del CEO.
