Detección de sectores claves a través de matrices de contabilidad social: una propuesta alternativa

Abstract

Este artículo presenta una metodología para la detección de sectores productivos claves dentro de una economía nacional (o regional). El método presenta dos novedades frente a los realizados hasta ahora: en primer lugar, combina los llamados métodos tradicionales basados en la construcción de indicadores de los efectos arrastre y difusión normalizados, con lo más modernos métodos de extracción, y en segundo lugar, utiliza matrices de contabilidad social (MCS) en lugar de tablas Input-Output (TIO) como bases de datos para su determinación. El trabajo muestra las ventajas de la propuesta, mediante una aplicación empírica sobre la MCS doméstica de España para 2000, determinando los sectores claves de la economía española.
