Abstract

Existe abundante evidencia empírica relacionando la cooperación con la innovación tecnologica, pero con escaza atencion sobre las no-tecnológicas (Fagerberg, Mowery, & Nelson, 2006) (Rouvenen, 2002; Conte, 2009; Cemil & Brouwer, 2012; Franco; Marzucchi & Monttresor, 2014). Nosotros estudiamos el rol de las redes de cooperación sobre la innovación para las empresas chilenas. Nuestros resultados sugieren que la cooperación afecta la decisión de innovar y su intensidad. Cuando las empresas cooperan, respecto de no tener, aumentan en 4 veces la cantidad de actividades innovadoras que realizan, mientras que los vínculos con Universidades en 2.6 y proveedores en 1.6 veces.
