The recent rise in the employment rate is a French particularity
[La récente hausse du taux d'emploi est une particularité française]

Abstract

The employment rate in France has exceeded the level reached at end-2019. This is a French particularity. It nevertheless remains low compared to other countries, in particular for young workers and men over 60. Its growth over the past twenty years had been slower than in the other major countries until recently. Le taux d’emploi en France a dépassé son niveau de la fin 2019. C’est une particularité française. Il demeure cependant faible comparativement aux autres pays, en particulier pour les jeunes et les hommes de plus de 60 ans. Sa progression depuis une vingtaine d’année y avait été jusqu’à récemment plus lente que dans les autres grands pays.
