The Covid-19 crisis and the risk of a sacrificed generation

Abstract

While young people are the age group least affected by the virus, they are among the worst affected by the economic consequences of the crisis. Financial support schemes for young people need to be simplified to make them more accessible. They also need to be directed more towards measures that foster autonomy and professional integration. Alors que les jeunes sont la catégorie de la population la moins affectée par le virus, ils sont parmi les plus touchés par les conséquences économiques de la crise. Il est nécessaire de simplifier les dispositifs de soutien financier à destination des jeunes pour en faciliter l’accès, et les réorienter vers davantage de moyens en faveur de l’autonomie et de l’insertion.
