Abstract

This paper reveals the essence of the concept of "e-Government" and provides a brief overview of the main trends and areas of implementation of the public administration principles based on new technologies. Most of the work is devoted to studying the experience of the application of information and communication technology in public administration of the Visegrad Group countries (evidence from the Czech Republic and Hungary), Georgia and Belarus. As part of the analysis performed, this article highlights the main achievements, which the said states reached in the study area, identifies problems and provides recommendations to accelerate the implementation of E-government framework in the near future.
