Abstract

Este documento analiza el impacto económico de las sanciones por prácticas colusorias impuestas por la Comisión Nacional de los Mercados y la Competencia (CNMC) sobre las licitaciones públicas, a partir de una base de datos que combina información granular de la Central de Balances Integrada (CBI), de la Plataforma de Contratación del Sector Público y de los expedientes sancionadores de la CNMC. De acuerdo con los resultados obtenidos en términos sectoriales, las sanciones por colusión impuestas por la CNMC están asociadas a una posterior reducción en los índices de concentración y en los márgenes empresariales de los sectores afectados. Además, la evidencia a escala empresarial sugiere que las actuaciones de la CNMC contribuyen a reducir el peso de las empresas colusorias en su sector.
