Public Awareness of Deposit Insurance Systems

Abstract

This paper discusses the importance and objectives of a public awareness program for deposit insurance systems and considers how such a program can contribute to the effectiveness of a deposit insurer. Several aspects of a comprehensive public awareness program are considered that will maximize the effectiveness and efficiency of the program.
