Abstract

L’Inde a connu depuis vingt ans une accélération remarquable de son rythme de croissance économique, que l’on a pu comparer au milieu des années 2000 à celui de son voisin chinois. Ce « décollage » économique, en partie tiré par l’investissement privé, s‘est assis sur l’acquisition de positions économiques fortes dans différents secteurs d‘activité. Conjuguées à la mise en place de grands programmes sociaux, cette forte croissance a permis un recul de l’extrême pauvreté et le développement d‘une classe moyenne.
