Abstract

Quelque temps après la tenue des élections législatives en Indonésie, ce document dresse le portrait de son économie. Très dynamique depuis plusieurs décennies, celle-ci a permis une hausse importante du niveau de richesse par habitant ainsi que l’émergence d‘une classe moyenne. Toutefois, en dépit de fondamentaux macroéconomiques solides, elle connaît des changements structurels qui affectent son potentiel de croissance, et doit également faire face à de nouveaux défis dans un contexte international incertain. Cette étude propose d'étudier, en cinq parties, (i) les caractéristiques démocratiques et politiques du pays, (ii) les forces et faiblesses de son économie, (iii) la gestion de ses finances publiques et (iv) de son système bancaire, avant d'appréhender (iv) les déséquilibres émergents.Lire la tribune de l'auteur sur le blog Idées pour le développement (http://ideas4development.org/indonesie-remedier-aux-faiblesses-structurelles-leconomie-developper-potentiel/).
