Burkina Faso : l’émergence du secteur aurifère suffira-t-elle à redresser un modèle de croissance en perte de vitesse ?

Abstract

La crise financière de 2008 a fortement dégradé les perspectives économiques des principaux partenaires commerciaux de nombreux pays d‘Afrique subsaharienne. La diffusion de ce choc est l’occasion d‘interroger la solidité du régime de croissance des pays d‘Afrique subsaharienne afin d‘en faire émerger les forces et les faiblesses. Cette étude propose d‘examiner le cas du Burkina Faso. L’analyse des évolutions structurelles du régime de croissance de l’économie burkinabè fait l’objet de la première partie de cette étude. La situation financière de l’Etat, premier agent économique du pays, est examinée dans la deuxième partie. Enfin, l’étude fait le point sur l’insertion du Burkina Faso dans les échanges mondiaux afin de caractériser l’évolution de l’économie burkinabè au vu des ses principaux équilibres externes,
