Abstract

Porté par le boom de son secteur minier et la rigueur de ses politiques macroéconomiques, le Pérou connaît depuis le début des années 2000 une période de développement spectaculaire, qualifiée de « miracle péruvien ». Le PIB nominal en dollars a ainsi été multiplié par près de cinq en une vingtaine d’années et les différents indicateurs de développement humain et de pauvreté ont enregistré des progrès significatifs. Cette séquence est d’autant plus notable qu’elle fait suite à deux décennies 1980-2000 marquées par la guerre civile et le marasme économique.
