Cambodia Urban Sector Assessment, Strategy and Road Map

Author

Listed:
  • Asian Development Bank (ADB)

Abstract

This publication documents the current assessment and strategic investment priorities of the Government of Cambodia and the Asian Development Bank (ADB) in the country’s urban sector. It highlights sector performance, priority development constraints, government plans and strategies, past ADB support and experience, other development partner support, and future ADB support strategy. The road map covers three main support areas: (i) converting transport corridors into economic corridors—corridor towns of the Greater Mekong Subregion; (ii) sustainable urban development—environmental infrastructure in selected urban areas; and (iii) capacity development for urban management—institutional and policy development.
