Abstract

Este trabalho objetiva avaliar o grau de concentração das estruturas de apoio à inovação tecnológica no Brasil, à luz do grau de desigualdade existente entre as suas cinquenta maiores microrregiões. São avaliadas variáveis relativas ao suporte às atividades tecnológicas destas microrregiões e variáveis ligadas ao seu desenvolvimento econômico, assumindo a correlação entre estes dois conjuntos de variáveis. Tais variáveis foram submetidas aos métodos de Análise Fatorial e Análise de Clusters. Observou-se uma associação entre as variáveis econômicas e as variáveis ligadas à estrutura de apoio à inovação local bem como uma forte concentração desta num pequeno conjunto de microrregiões brasileiras
