Explanatory Guide to the ERS Metro and Nonmetro Labor Force and Income Data Diskette

Author

Listed:
  • Frederick, Martha

Abstract

This guide explains the labor force, employment, and income data included on the ERS "Metro and Nonmetro Labor Force and Income Data Diskette." The data for 1969-87 are compiled from county estimates developed by the Bureau of Economic Analysis (BEA) and the Bureau of Labor Statistics (BLS). The guide also provides background information on what the statistics measure, how they are estimated, and how the BEA and BLS employment series differ.
