Abstract

A graphical and tablular summary of U.S. exports to major Asian countries is prepared from United States export and United Nations trade data. U.S. exports of 55 horticultural commodities are ranked by average value over the 1993 to 1995 period to 22 major Asian countries, to four Asian regions, and to the world. Japan is the leading Asian market for U.S. horticultural exports. From United Nations import data, the change in U.S. market share is analyzed and the top 7 suppliers are identified by Asian country for 23 horticultural commodity categories over the 1985 to 1994 period.
