Abstract

Excerpt from the paper: These geographic areas reflect wide differences in resources and production potential for cotton and competing crops. While production has declined sharply over the last several years, cotton still remains a major crop in many counties within these areas. This report includes information on production, the resource base, and current production practices and problems relating to the Texas Blackland, Coastal Bend, and Lower Rio Grande areas.
