Atividade Pesqueira Na Amzônia: Limites E Possibilidades Para O Desenvolvimento Local

Abstract

A atividade pesqueira é considerada uma dessas atividades tradicionais da Amazônia, enquanto ligada ao próprio modo de vida região. É uma atividade muito importante, mas que não tem sido capaz de criar um dinamismo interno para o desenvolvimento local, especialmente enquanto mecanismo endógeno. Assim sendo, propõe-se neste artigo estudar as suas características, enquanto capazes ou não de dinamizar esse desenvolvimento local na região da Amazônia Legal. Isto implica verificar suas especificidades na região, indicando seus limites e potencialidades. A metodologia empírica principal utilizada neste estudo será os estudos de Arranjos Produtivos Locais – APL realizados pela Agência de Desenvolvimento da Amazônia – ADA, concomitante a uma análise com base na Matriz Insumo-Produto e de Contabilidade Social para os Estados do Pará, Amazonas e Amapá.
