Abstract

O trabalho tem a intenção de abordar o tema transporte escolar rural, analisando a forma como é realizado e os custos atuais, com estudo de caso realizado no município de Toledo–PR. A forma de planejamento urbano (de transportes e sistemas viários), a classificação dos transportes, o transporte rural, os custos de transportes (e formas de cálculo) e as características dos veículos utilizados são os principais pontos da revisão bibliográfica. Como metodologia, serão utilizadas além das pesquisas bibliográficas, consultas ao departamento responsável pelo transporte escolar rural na Prefeitura Municipal de Toledo. Como prosseguimento, foi elaborada uma planilha (com base nos dados coletados), para analisar o valor da tarifa atualmente praticada no município. Um dos objetivos do estudo é contribuir para a melhoria do serviço de transporte escolar rural, indicando caminhos ao poder público e às empresas de transporte, melhorando a qualidade e reduzindo custos do sistema.
