Abstract

Este artigo constitui-se em uma forma de relatar e analisar como a comunicação, tanto teoricamente como enquanto ferramenta de trabalho da extensão rural no Rio Grande do Sul, tem contribuído para a promoção do desenvolvimento sustentável das comunidades pesqueiras no Litoral Norte. Trata-se de uma sistematização da passagem dos processos comunicacionais voltados para a difusão de conhecimentos técnicos, para a construção conjunta de metodologias de trabalho que passam pela valorização da participação das comunidades e uma nova visão da comunicação e da extensão rural.
