Abstract

Este artigo tem como propósito recuperar a evolução histórica do conceito de segurança alimentar no intuito de relacioná-la com o Projeto Fome Zero, em sua versão de 2001. Para isso, foi feita uma pesquisa teórico-histórica acerca do tema, e, a leitura crítica de documentos sobre o tema além do Projeto Fome Zero - uma proposta de Segurança Alimentar para o Brasil, versão de outubro de 2001. O objetivo do trabalho será apreender a evolução do conceito de segurança alimentar e sua relação com a proposição do Projeto Fome Zero (2001) buscando apresentar a relevância deste projeto na redefinição das bases do processo de desenvolvimento brasileiro a partir de um redesenho da participação da agricultura no processo de desenvolvimento.
