Processo De Certificação: Alterações Nos Sistemas Produtivos E Proteção Ambiental

Abstract

Esse artigo aborda as condições para a obtenção de redução dos impactos ambientais a partir da identificação e análise das necessidades de alterações nos sistemas produtivos agrícolas colocadas para o cumprimento do protocolo de certificação European Retailers Produce Working Group - Good Agricultural Practices (EUREPGAP) bem como das exigências expressas nos Pontos de Controle e Critérios de Cumprimento (PCCC). São considerados produtores certificados de limão tahiti na região de Catanduva – SP, um dos principais pólos produtores do país. O processo de certificação conduzido na região, a partir de 2002, é baseado em um esquema de referência de boas práticas agrícolas, com participação voluntária, e que apresenta como objetivo atender o interesse do consumidor em termos de segurança alimentar, bem-estar animal, proteção ambiental e saúde, segurança e bem-estar do trabalhador. A análise procura traçar o quadro que se coloca para a busca de melhorias ambientais levando em consideração a identificação das principais dificuldades postas para um grupo de produtores, heterogêneo quanto ao tamanho da produção, na busca da conformidade ao protocolo.
